Deformed knees in younger and middle aged patients alongside pain can be displeasing. Since replacing the knees is not an option in these patients Dr. Nikhil Sharma is experienced in keeping the natural/native knee intact and reshaping the knees to help patients recover.

TRAUMA

Orthopaedic trauma such as fractures or ligament tears are common these days.Having worked in a dedicated trauma unit for over 8 years including Trauma care center SSKM & PG hospital, Dr. Nikhil Sharma has an individualistic approach towards each trauma setting while guiding the patients and their relatives.

ARTHROSCOPY

Dr. Nikhil Sharma has done his super specialisation / fellowship in arthroscopy from Mumbai (Lilavati hospital, Nanavati Max hospital, PD Hinduja Hospital Khar) and Kolkata (KASS) and passionately performs these microsurgeries for shoulder and knee. Keyhole shoulder surgeries like Rotator Cuff repair wherein a patient loses his ability to lift the arm due to pain and stiffness in the shoulders setting in severe discomfort and hindrance in day‑to‑day life. Bankart repair, a tear in the capsule of the shoulder joint forcing the patient to lead a guarded life owing to repeated dislocations .Knee keyhole/microsurgeries like ACL reconstruction and PCL reconstruction or fixation of avulsion fracture injuries. These issues give the patient a sense of instability in the knee. Keyhole meniscus repair is another microsurgery done in patients with knee pain and locking sensation of the knee.
